What I do at UK Biobank
I am the Chief Operating Officer here at UK Biobank, which includes responsibility for our Estates & Technical Services, Laboratory, Access & Study Administration Teams as well as Health & Safety.
Why UK Biobank
It is a really exciting time to join us at UK Biobank. Since inception in 2002, our impact as a health research resource has grown rapidly: indeed, exponentially in recent years. As an organisation, we continue to grow in size and you can join our team of talented, motivated and friendly individuals who share a passion for our mission to enable scientific discoveries that improve human health. A major focus of the next few years is replacement of our physical and digital infrastructure, which is a great opportunity to show what you can do. We always have a variety of interesting projects to get involved in, some great benefits and a sense of purpose.
Who am I?
Before joining UK Biobank in 2020, I was the Chief Operating Officer at Hull York Medical School and have a background in university corporate planning and leadership.
