My role as a Business Analyst is diverse and varied, and can see me working across the business at many different levels on any given day. As someone who enjoys understanding problems, I use my time to better understand how everything at UK Biobank works, how it integrates together, and how that helps the organisation to meet its business goals.

UK Biobank is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work on a truly novel project. The sheer scope and scale of what UK Biobank hopes to achieve, and how it will enable scientific discovery long into the future is, is truly aspirational and inspirational.

After starting out in tech support with Microsoft, I later moved into operational systems administration, reporting and finance function roles across a range of telecoms companies. In 2013 I switched industries entirely, moving into Container Shipping where I helped deliver the Liverpool2 - a new container terminal and operating systems - before changing industry again to be at UK Biobank.

I have now been at UK Biobank for 5 years working on a broad range of products and deliverables.
