Claudine Henderson

My role is to oversee the day-to-day operational management of the imaging centre, ensuring the safe, efficient, smooth running of the site whilst providing support to the Newcastle Imaging team. We are one of four UK Biobank Imaging centres and play a major role in obtaining imaging data, as part of the world’s largest imaging project of its kind.

As an experienced CT and MRI Radiographer with a background in engineering I have worked in the NHS/Private healthcare sector for many years. I joined UK Biobank in early 2017 as a bank radiographer and enjoyed it so much that I became a permanent member of staff.  Since then UK Biobank have provided me with many opportunities and they have supported me in advancing both my education and career. 

UK Biobank is the UK’s most significant scientific asset enabling several scientific discoveries that improve human health and it is amazing to be a part of it.
